After lengthy discussions and deliberations among the board and with our association's general counsel, the board voted to allow renting at Wind Drift subject to adherence to temporary, new policies. First, it is incumbent upon every owner to make the renter aware of the current state of our property - that we are still in the process of making repairs, some of which will be lengthy as we wait on an insurance settlement. For example, at some point in the near future, we anticipate replacing the roofs on all three buildings. We are close to a resolution but until we know for sure, we won't have a schedule for that project. There is also a risk of entrapments with our elevators. We have been on the list for permanent repairs; however, it will still be 2-3 months before that work is completed. Our elevator company has told us that there is not a safety risk but to make everyone aware of the risk of entrapment. I mention these only as examples of things we are waiting to repair. There are many other items we have been actively working on as well - boardwalks, boat docks, sheetrock repair, etc. Part of the parking lot will be blocked off due to the delivery and staging of materials. We will have a lot of traffic throughout the parking lot and ask that everyone use caution. The south pool will remain open for the majority of this project. Welcome to our family's fun get-away condo at the beautiful Gulf Shores Plantation Resort. The Plantation is a gated, family oriented, vacation community offering 2000 feet of private, sugar-white beach frontage on the Gulf of Mexico. Our 3rd floor condo has a beautiful direct Gulf view, 2 bedrooms , each with an ultra comfortable Sealy mattress on a queen bed and 2 full bathrooms. We are in the same building as the heated indoor pool, huge hot tub, fitness room, sauna, and steam room, a short walk from 2 outdoor pools and the boardwalk to the beautiful white sand BEACH! NO SMOKING! NO PETS! MINIMUM AGE FOR RENTERS -25 YEARS ! Large fully equipped kitchen with microwave, ice-maker, dishwasher, 42 in flat screen TV in living area with DVD, cable , 32 inch flat screen TV in Master BR with cable, ceiling fan in main living area, Free wireless internet in condo. We have a small selection of books, videos and family board games provided for your family's enjoyment. After crossing the Dr. Holmes Bridge continue to the 4th traffic light and turn right onto Highway 180 West (Ft. Morgan Parkway). Travel 13 miles and the entrance to Gulf Shores Plantation will be on your left.
